Hannah fiddy ~ founder

Hannah is a creative entrepreneur, classical music consultant and content creator based in the UK. She has experience working with choirs, venues, orchestras, composers, musicians and charities, leading the publicity campaigns for numerous concerts outside of traditional spaces, including warehouses, pubs, clubs, museums, hospitals and prisons. Hannah has managed the digital marketing for many music organisations and artists including choral composer John Rutter and The King’s Singers, and is a guest lecturer in innovation in the classical music industry at Middlesex University. Her production credits include classical club nights for Nonclassical and pop-up gigs and tours for Street Orchestra Live.

Hannah’s alter ego is the Founder of London Flashmob, creating quirky events from wedding proposals to cultural pranks, including the London Undersound – a participatory audio adventure through the streets of Soho, which attracted over 1,000 participants.

Hannah is a music graduate of Christ’s College, Cambridge, and attended a state comprehensive school in Peterborough.

Penelope is a classical pianist currently studying a BMus at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Having studied there since 2021, she has gained significant experience and insight into the classical world, becoming increasingly passionate about educating herself on gender issues within the music industry.

Penelope has enjoyed performing in Italy and in the UK both as a soloist and as part of chamber groups throughout her studies.

She has been focused on making classical music more accessible to a younger demographic and is devoted to tackling discrimination in the classical music industry.

Alternative Classical was co-founded by Hannah Fiddy and Hanna Grześkiewicz. Previous team members also include Jayro Viapree, Daniel Phillips and Hope Cramsie.
