To discover and support composing talent and choral composition around the world, The Finzi Trust has launched the Finzi International Composing Competition. Applicants are invited to compose a choral work in response to Gerald Finzi's Lo, the full, final sacrifice.

The competition offers a top prize of £2,500 and the opportunity for the winner to have their work recorded on film with the internationally renowned Choir of Trinity College Cambridge.

People at any stage of their career may apply, as long as composing is an important part of their musical portfolio. Shortlisted pieces will be judged by Roxanna Panufnik, Robert Saxton and Paul Spicer, leading composers and academics from the British and international choral scene.

The application deadline is June 30th 2023.
